FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONNIE KLEPPE JOINS FALLBROOK MUSIC SOCIETY’S BOARD

FALLBROOK, CA – Fallbrook Music Society is pleased to announce the recent appointment of pianist and educator Connie Kleppe to its Board of Directors.

Of her recent appointment, Mrs. Kleppe said, “I am thrilled to assume a position on this Board knowing the value and the mission of Fallbrook Music Society, and I welcome the opportunity to provide my assistance to augment the many talents of our board.”  “It’s exciting to be an integral part of such a fine organization.  My goal is to help find ways to enable more young people from our community have access to the same  opportunities that I enjoyed.”  “The joy and fulfillment of music transcends race, gender socioeconomic status and cultures,” she added.

Ms. Kleppe comes from a strong musical background as her mother was a gifted pianist and vocalist, and her father was a noted opera singer who performed at Milan’s famous La Scala Opera House prior to WWII.   From the age of 9, Connie was raised in San Jose, CA where she graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Piano performance, a minor in Theater Arts, and subsequently a California Teaching Credential.

Connie has an extensive teaching background.  She earned a reputation for excellence and professionalism while teaching in a variety of educational institutions within the San Jose Unified School District in Northern California.  At the young age of 23 and just out of college, Connie became Chair of the Orchestra and taught choir, guitar and orchestra at Pioneer High School (3 years), became a substitute teacher for the district (5 years), she was a music teacher at both John Muir Middle School and Steinbeck Middle School where she taught Music Appreciation classes and Choir (5 Years), and English and Social Studies at Broadway Continuation School (10 years).  In 2000, Mrs. Kleppe transferred to Abraham Lincoln High School where she developed “Lincoln Plus High” – a small Continuation School where she taught Adult Education, English, Social Studies and Music for 14 years.

Mrs. Kleppe and her husband Todd, along with their beloved Golden Retriever Toby, have been residents of Fallbrook since October 2021 after relocating from San Jose.  Knowing that art and music were important to Connie, her daughter Molly discovered Fallbrook while searching online for communities that possess strong arts and culture roots – Fallbrook stood out as one of the best.  Connie teaches private piano lessons, she is an accomplished pianist, artist, cook, and she loves to garden at home.

Celebrating its 46th anniversary year, Fallbrook Music Society is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization and carries on its various missions of presenting professional music concerts in Fallbrook, music outreach programs for students in the Fallbrook and Bonsall School Districts, and year-round music instruction and in-class performances for the Fallbrook Boys & Girls Club.
